Yesterday was a fantastic Sunday at NPUMC! The sanctuary renovation was officially blessed by not only Bert Kite, the District Superintendent, but also Michael Coyner, the Bishop. Bishop Mike, as he likes to be called, delivered a succinct and excellent sermon message using the "prodigal son" scripture.
He reminded all of us not to have the "older brother symdrome" of "What about me?"
The choir sang, Praising Hymns and Brand New sang and God flooded the sannctuary with morning light. In fact, it was so bright as light shone through the high east window that from the front I could not see the faces in the congregation. It was as if He and His light were there to also bless our sanctuary and our congregation. GOD IS GOOD!
