Keep Praying!

Mary Jo Shaw does a wonderful job of preparing inspirational materials for the Monday morning prayer group. This piece was shared today and it is just beautiful!

NEW HOPE IN SPRINGTIME
by Jill Lemming

It's nice to see the sun appear
As springtime comes our way...
With warmth and beauty in its path,
And hopes for brighter days.
The trees begin to come alive
With branches reaching out...
And birds begin to sing in tune
As children run about.
The gift of springtime, back again
To stir our thankful hearts...
To look ahead and rise above,
To find a brand new start.

If you are looking for a brand new start, recommit yourself to our Saviour and start making all your decisions based on WWJD.

IHS,

Roger

PS: Be sure to pray for Dale Graschelle who was in "hospice" but now is again at Wildwood nursing facility.

April Fool!

It is always good to be able to laugh...especially at oneself! Monday night, I told Anita not to be alarmed when I got up at 5:00 a.m. Tuesday so I could get to Community Hospital East by 6:00 a.m. to pray with Scott and Ann Dawson. Scott was scheduled for a procedure and I wanted them to rest in the assurance that their church family was right there with them. The unusual thing was when I got there, none of the staff had ever heard of Scott and he wasn't on the "schedule." So I waited for awhile... Then one of the nurses on staff called all the nearby hospitals in case I was in the wrong hospital!!! Those of you who know me well know that before I left the hospital I had made any new friends and saw all their children's pictures, etc. I still didn't know what was wrong though. I was beginning to worry that something bad had happened and they had to cancel. NOPE!!!
Everything was ok except my reading ability, I guess. I had the wrong day and was there one day early. So Wednesday I repeated the trip and got to actually see Scott and Ann. Scott was in good spirits and was confident the doctors would do their thing well. After we prayed together, Scott went off to Dr. Hahn while Ann and I waited. The procedure went well and except for a little Xanex buzz, Scott was fine. The Dawsons are fine members of our church family and are always happy to receive prayers from other believers. (Please pray for my memory or reading ability too!)
