May and June brought several changes in our church family. First, our pastor, Mark announced that he and his fiance were planning to be married most likely at Thanksgiving. They are planning to live in Irvington near the Pleasant Run Golf Course. The house in Boulder Creek is still for sale and Mark is considering additional options. We all should pray for positive outcomes for him and his housing issues.
We lost a great friend and Christian lady in Esther Lowe. Esther and her late husband Bob were "fixtures" at NPUMC especially when they were younger and had kids in school. They were there at church whenever the doors were open. Esther would have been 94 had she lived one more week. She was a wonderful person, mom, wife and friend. I will miss her positive outlook on life and her special relationship with the birds in her woods. I will never forget her.
Doris Vandine has successful back surgery also and is painfree for the first time in years!
