After breakfast with my Murfreesburo family at IHOP, Anita and I drove through the driving rain in Tennessee and Kentucky to get back home to support my good friend Jerome Davis at the loss of his father Jim. Jim, or "Bud," as his friends called him had many health issues which finally caused "our" loss and heavens' gain. Bud was a man whom everyone loved as he loved everyone. His wife of 55 years, Jewell, his sons JD, Jim, and John will miss this great husband and dad.

We, his church family, must bond together and uplift our brother Jerome at this time when he must adjust to the loss of a special father. Cards, notes phone messages certainly will help to remind JD and his family that "all things work for good for those who love the Lord..." We know Bud loved the Lord and is in a special place today. He knows NO pain. He needs nothing. He is in the loving hands of our Savior.

IHS,

Roger
