My Mondays

Mondays are busy days for "Captain Caregiver" as one of my lonesome friends referred to me last week. I love the day though because it gives me a chance to visit with lots of friends and pray for many others. I start with a nice breakfast with my Carol's Countryside Cafe friends when we discuss who is in need of our ongoing prayers. We start at 8:00a.m. and seldom finish before 10:00a.m. We encourage newcomers but usually it's the same group, the Ellis's, the Becks, the Merlaus, the Hancocks, the Wilsons, Marge Seaton, MaryJo Shaw, and yours truly. These families are wonderfully committed to prayer for others. This prayer breakfast is the perfect start to the week! Then I go to NPUMC. After I get to church about 11:00, I return all my emails and write notes to some congregation members who may need some encouragement. Then I write to all the folks who visit our worship service for the first time. After skipping lunch, I often visit a few members of our NPUMC family. This week I made the "haul" to Franklin as I wanted to catch up with Glen and Myrna Beck (Linda Quick's mom and dad) and Frances Kissell. I had a nice visit with the Beck's, however I am saddened to see Glen's declining health. All through his ministry, he was a visiting caregiver for others. Now he needs our care and our prayers.
If you are so inclined, send him a card of encouragement.

As you might guess, by the time I get home, I am pooped. (Sometimes I even fall asleep during Monday Night Football!!!)

In His Service,
Roger
